Benue State Lawmakers Passed a Bill On Harmonisation Of Retirement Age
Benue state lawmakers have passed the bill to Harmonize the retirement age for Teachers in the state.
With the passage, Teachers in the state shall retire on the attainment of sixty-five years of age or fourfortyrs of pensionable service.
Making a way for passage of the bill, the Chairman House Committee on Education, Science and Technology, Mr Ter Kaa Ucha said the law already exists at the federal level and needs to be domesticated in the state to enhance the quality of learning and sued for support of his colleagues.
After a clause-by-clause consideration of the bill, Speaker Christopher Adaji who presided over the plenary directed that it should be read the third time and was accordingly passed.
