Corps Members Charged To Be Worthy Ambassadors Of Nigeria

Members of the National Youth Service Corps, NYSC, 2023 Batch ‘A’ Stream Two have been charged to be worthy ambassadors of the scheme and Nigeria at large.
Kwara State Governor, Mallam Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq, made the call during the Swearing in
Ceremony for the Corps members at the state permanent orientation camp, Yikpata, Edu Local Government.
Governor Abdurazaq, represented by his deputy, Elder Kayode Alabi, noted that the NYSC was established for national integration and building of a progressive Nigeria, charging the youth that they would be fulfilling the hopes and aspirations of the country through the service year.
On his part, the State Coordinator, of NYSC Kwara State, Mr Olawole Jimba, commended the youth for their eagerness and readiness to serve their fatherland and assured them of memorable camping exercises.
The State Coordinator, while appreciating the Kwara State government for the ongoing perimeter fencing at the permanent orientation camp, enjoined the governor to encourage the Sixteen Local Government Chairmen in the state to make their presence felt at the camp by erecting structures that would be named after them to ease accommodation problems faced by Corps members and camp officials.
A total of one thousand, three hundred and eighteen Batch ‘A’ Stream 2 Corps members were administered Oath of Allegiance by the Acting Chief Judge of Kwara State, Justice Abiodun Adebara represented by Justice Mahmud Abdugafar.
Highpoint of the event included Man O’ War drill exercises and cultural performances by the Youth Corps members.
