NSCDC Commandant Tasked Officers To Exhibit High Professional Conduct

Personnel of the Kogi State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps, NSCDC, have been charged to continue to exhibit high professional conduct in the discharge of their duties.
State Commandant of the Corps, Ahmad Ahmed Gandi made the call in Lokoja while conferring an award on fifteen deserving officers of the Command for exemplary conduct.
He said the officers having found worthy in character, attitude to work, professional competence were recognized to boost thier morale and encourage healthy competition among the rank and file.
The Commandant however warned that those recognized could be stripped of the award if later found not be of good behavior afterwards.
According to him, the Command under his watch in the last one hundred days in office has rolled out programmes and initiatives in the area of training and retraining of officers, attitudinal change, intelligence gathering and professional competence in a bid to reposition the Corp and inline with the Commandant General, Doctor Ahmed Abubakar Audi’s vision and mission for the NSCDC.
Recounting the achievement of Commandant Ahmad Ahmad Gandi in one hundred days in office, Deputy Commandant Olusoji Alabi said it has been fruitful and impactful among the rank and file.
He enumerated it to include; giving a facelift to the Command headquarters, initiated a staff general audit, prompt resolution of crises between farmers and herders via the Agro Ranger’s Unit, training and retraining of staff including ongoing of seventy personnel to be inducted into the Armed Special Squad Unit as well as convictions of suspects arrested for various crime.
According to him, the refurbishing of operational vehicles by the Commandant has equally boosted the moral of personnel in tackling crimes and criminality and various arrest and parades of illegal miners amongst others
The Special Guest of Honour and Kogi State Comptroller of the Nigeria Immigration Service, Mr. Taiye Musa in his goodwill message commended the efforts and modest achievement of the Commandant in his one hundred days in office and pledged continued synergy between his office and the NSCDC.
Speaking on behalf of the awardees, the Head Of Administration, Hassan Aboki thanked the Commandant for finding them worthy assuring of the unwavering commitment of the officers to duties at all times.
