2023 Children’s Day Celebration

Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasaraies and programmes that will improve the well-being of children in the state.
He stated this at the Twenty-twenty three Children’s Day Celebration, Organized by the State Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Development in Lafia.
Represented by the Permanent Secretary Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Development in the state,Mr Hussaini Usman, Governor Sule discribed children as unique part of the revolution of human society and are important in the transmission of culture, identity and traditions of people to guarantee their continues existence.
He reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to reforms that will ensure children in the state compete favourably with their peers across the globe.
Governor Sule urged parents and caregivers to join hands with the government to bring up children who will represent them in the nearest future.
The Executive Director of Centre for Women Youths and Community Action, NACWYCA, Dr Nawani Aboki in a paper presentation, Titled Proper parenting for value reorientation and national consciousness, explained that parenting is the process of raising responsible children with love, care, support and direction into adulthood.
Some of the children, Gedion Markus and Farida Mohammed commended organizers of the event for giving them a sense of belonging while calling on government at all levels to provide environment condusive for learning to enable them succeed.
Highlights of the event were match pass, a cultural display, and the presentation of gifts to winners of the match pass among others.
