By Lawrence Afolabi
The Kwara State Government has reduced work day of civil servant in the state from five to three days per week.
This is contained in a statement signed by Chief Press Secretary to the Kwara State Head of Service, Murtala Atoyebi.
According to the statement, The Head of Service, Mrs Modupe Oluwole Suzan said, reduction in working days of civil servant is a temporary measure approved by Governor Abdulrahman AbdulRazaq
to ease the burden of public workers, following hike in transportation fare as a result of removal of oils subsidy by the federal Government
It directs all Heads of Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) in the State to immediately work out a format indicating the alternating work days for each worker under them.
The statement however warns workers not to abuse magnanimity of the Governor, stressing that the regular monitoring of MDAs by office of the Head of Service would be intensified to ensure strict compliance.
