Governor Sule Urges Youth To Enhance Their Productivity

Youths in Nasarawa State have been advised to key in to the diversification efforts of the federal government towards enhancing their Productivity in the society.

Governor Abdullahi Sule gave the advice as the maiden National Productivity Day celebration organised by the National Productivity Centre in collaboration with Nasarawa State Government in Lafia.

The Maiden National Productivity Day celebration has its theme as ” Diversification of the Nigerian Economy: The Productivity Imperative*.

Declaring the event open, Governor Abdullahi Sule who was represented by the Permanent Secretary Civil Service Secretariat Alhaji Idris Umar said the theme is in line with the policies and programmes of his administration to impart positively on the youths to acquire the desire knowledge to be productive in the society.

In a remark, the Director National Productivity Centre Mrs Imoson Moji-sola said the day was set aside by government to sensitize citizens on the strategic relevance of productivity to national development.

Contributing, Senior Special Assistant to governor Abdullahi Sule on Youth Affairs, Shua’ibu Sani commended the the theme of the celebration which is “The Diversification of the Nigerian Economy: The Productivity Imperative” made case for youths skills acquisition’s training to enhance their Productivity.

In their separate comments, Deputy Vice Chancellor Research and Partnership Federal University of Lafia Professor Samaila Dakyes and Controller Federal Ministry of Labour and Productivity, Nasarawa State, Doctor Dalhatu Mohammed challenged people in leadership positions to take proper care of those under them and ensure skills training for their personnel to be creative saying papers qualification is no longer the measures to attain development in the present society

Commenting on the Maiden National Productivity Day celebration, the Comptroller Custodian Centre Nasarawa State and Commandant National Drug Law Enforcement Agency both assured of their readiness to partner the National Productivity Centre to train the youths particularly those in their
custody to become responsible and self reliant when out of custody.
