Nasarawa Election Petition Tribunal Receive Additional Witnesses From PDP

Nasarawa State governorship election petition tribunal sitting in Lafia have received four additional witnesses from the governorship candidate of People’s Democratic Party, PDP Emmanuel Ombugadu.
The first witness under subpoena, James Allu who is the People’s Redemption Party, PRP Agent for Gayam ward during cross examination by all the counsels in the matter told the tribunal that he refused to sign the electoral ward result sheet because the total votes collated into the result sheet was different from the result in the Bimodal votee Accreditation system.
Also, cross examined by the counsels to the INEC, APC and Governor Abdullahi Sule, Ishaku Dikko, Wole Olanikpekun and Matthew Bukka, SANs respectively was Dogara Agu, the Action Alliance Party, AAP Agent for chiroma award who testified orally before the tribunal that only results of 100 pooling units out of the 102 pooling units in Chiroma ward were uploaded into the INEC viewing portal, IREV.
However, counsel to the APC, Wole Olanikpekun protested and objected vehemently the questions allowing the witness to tender any documents and give more oral information about the election having tendered his written reply.
The chairman of the three man panel Justice Ezekiel Ajayi after listening to all the parties in the matter reserved ruling for later day.
As at the time of filing this story tribunal had stand down after taking the fourth witness on oath.
The judge later adjourned the sitting to tomorrow for continuation of hearing.
