Kogi State Flagg’s Off Distribution Of Farm Input

Kogi state Government says it will continue to live up to its responsibility of providing farmers in the state with enabling environment, attract investors and easy access to farm inputs.
Governor Yahaya Bello stated this in Okene during the official flag off and distribution of farm inputs to one hundred and ninety beneficiaries from Okene, Okehi, Adavi and Dekina Local Government Areas, under the Kogi state FADAMA, COVID-nineteen Action Recovery and Economic Stimulus, NG-CARES, Result Area Two component.
The governor who was represented by the Commissioner for Agriculture and Natural Resources, Timothy Ojoma said his actions since assumption of office had demonstrated his vision to transform Kogi State, with the agricultural sector playing a pivotal role.
He explained that the world bank and other stakeholders had restructured NG-CARES to be a veritable vehicle to deliver support to flood victims and palliative to mitigate the impact of subsidy removal.
Governor Bello said the state government attached great importance to agricultural development as this would boost food security of the state in particular and the Gross Domestic Product, GDP of the country at large.
The Kogi state Programme Coordinator, FADAMA Office, David Adejoh appreciated Governor Bello for his positive disposition towards agricultural development as it had provided enabling environment for the implementing of agricultural projects and programmes in the state.
He said the inputs would be strictly monitored in accordance with agronomic best practices to ensure that they were judiciously used by the beneficiaries.
