University Signs MoU With Research Institute For Economic Development

University of Jos has signed a Memorandum of Understanding MoU with the Tukur Buratai Research Center in the areas of research and development.

The signing of the MoU which took place at the Vice Chancellor’s Conference room of the University of Jos, attracted Directors of the Center and management of the University.

Correspondent Murtala Sani witnessed the signing of the MoU and filed in report.

While signing the MoU, Lieutenant General Tukur Buratai retired appreciatd the University’s efforts, during the drafting of the Memorandum of Understanding MoU.

General Buratai explained that, the MoU would enable the Center and the University to collaborate in adding value to the Society and the Educational sector.

Buratai reiterates that, research is endless, noting that, research results are produced day by day, as new things are discovered.

The retired chief of Army staff on a separate discussion directed the Africa Centre of Excellence in Phytomedicine research and development University of Jos, to expressly come up with a proposal to carry out research on local antivenins that would quickly address snakes that ravages some communities on the Plateau.

In his response, the Vice Chancellor University of Jos Professor Tanko Ishaya, appreciated Tukur Buratai Research Center for finding the University worthy for the collaboration.
Professor Tanko opined that, the synergy would bridge the gap between the Academia and Industry.

The Vice Chancellor assured the Center of their competent Personnel that have trained in research not only in Nigeria but in the diaspora.

The event also witnessed the exchange of gifts and groups photographs.
