6 FULafia Students Regains Freedom After 5Million Naira Ransom

The SIX students of Federal University of Lafia abducted recently have been released by their captors.
They were released in the early hours of today after the payment of five million Naira.
This is the seventh time students of the Institution have been kidnapped according to reliable sources with the last incident occurring three weeks ago.
One of the victim told our correspondent that the abductors had come to pick an unknown man in gandu, a neighbouring village of the university whom they allegedly shot at but missed and had to abduct the students who were nearby.
According to the victim, they were allegedly sexually assaulted and beaten by the abductors who warned that the victims will be killed if the parents alerted the police.
