As the industrial action declared by the joint labour union of the Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC and Trade Union Congress TUC enters its second day, government agencies and parastatals were today picketed by labour leaders in Kwara State, to ensure strict compliance.

Offices picketed include Kwara State Water Corporation, SUBEB, Kwara State Internal Revenue Service KWIRS, Local Government Commission, Kwara State Judiciary including Radio Nigeria Harmony FM station in Idofian.

The Kwara State NLC Chairman, Comrade Muritala Olayinka while speaking to Radio Nigeria in Ilorin expressed satisfaction on the level of compliance.

Comrade Olayinka said market men and women as well as transporters that are not directly affected were those going on with their normal daily activities.
