Catholic Priests across the country have been charged to shun materialistic life styles and be more committed to serving God and humanity in line with their vocational vows.

Catholic Bishop of Katsina-Ala Diocese in Benue State, Most Reverend Isaac Dugu gave the charge while delivering a homily at the twenty fifth Priestly Anniversary of Reverend Father Gabriel Ngbea in Lafia, the Nasarawa State Capital.

The Bishop said religious leaders must strive to live exemplary life of dutifulness to their professed faith in God, calling on them to always pray for peace and unity of the country.

The Catholic Bishop of Lafia Diocese, Most Reverend David Ajang who congratulated the celebrant, advised him to be a role model to younger Priests.

Appreciating God for the journey so far in His vineyard, Reverend Father Gabriel Ngbea, thanked Him for sparing his life to also serve humanity, praying for more grace to serve the Church better.

Reverend Father Ngbae thanked all who came to celebrate his twenty fifth priestly anniversary,seeks for continues prayers to enable him succeed.

The event had in attendance, Bishops and Priests,Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State represented by his Deputy, Doctor Emmanuel Akabe,Governor of Benue State, Hyacinth Alia,Present and Past Government Officials and People from outside the country.

While highlights of the event were cultural dance,Book launch among others.
