Nasarawa State Assembly Inuagurate New Speak

A New Speaker for the Nasarawa State House of Assembly has emerged.
He is Mister Danladi Jatau representing Kokona West State Constituency.
Also, mister Mohammed Oyanki representing Doma North has emerged as the Deputy Speaker of the house.
Clerk of the State Assembly mister Ibrahim Musa announced the nomination of the speaker and his deputy during the house proceedings in Lafia.

Clerk of the state House of Assembly mister Ibrahim Musa who administered the oath of office, tasked the new speaker and his deputy to work in accordance with the rules and regulations guiding legislative procedures.
He urged them to live up to their responsibilities for effective service delivery by enacting laws that will offer favourable welfare to the people of the state.
In his acceptance speech, the newly elected speaker mister Danladi Jatau gave assurance to sustain the unity left behind by the former speaker Ibrahim Balarabe, calling on members to extend support and cooperation enjoined by the former speaker.
Similarly, shortly after the Budget presentation by Governor Abdullahi Sule, the state Commissioner for Finance, Budget and Planning, Hajiya Munirat Abdullahi commended Governor Abdullahi Sule for his exceptional performance.
She stated that the state achieved a lot in the implementation of it’s projects, policies and programmes and lauded the Governor for his pragmatic approach to governance.
Hajiya Munirat Abdullahi expressed optimism that the twenty twenty four budget will address the economic and other challenges facing the state, thereby bringing improvement in the standard of living of the people
On the supplementary budget of eight point two billion naira presented by Governor Abdullahi Sule, the commissioner for finance noted that the twenty twenty three supplementary Appropriation Bill was necessary due to the array of projects executed in the current year.
The commissioner also applauded the state House of Assembly for the consideration of the supplementary budget.
