Nasarawa Assembly Passes 2023 Supplementary Budget Into Law

Nasarawa state House of Assembly has passed the twenty twenty three supplementary Appropriation Bill into law.
The supplementary budget is Eight point one hundred and Seventy three billion naira thereby taking the total of this year’s state budget to One hundred and fifty Seven point four hundred and eighty nine billion.
Speaker Nasarawa state House of Assembly mister Danladi Jatau while passing the bill into law during plenary in Lafia said, the house gave it accelerated hearing considering its importance to the state.
Mister Jatau emphasized that if assented to by Governor Abdullahi Sule,it will go a along way in enabling the state Government to execute capital projects and other people oriented policies that have direct bearing on the standard of living of the people.
The speaker directed the clerk of the house Ibrahim Musa to expedite action on a copy of the bill to be presented to the Governor for his assent.
Earlier, the majority leader of the house mister Suleiman Azara representing Awe south moved a motion for the bill to be passed into law and was seconded by the minority leader mister Luka Zhekabe
