Protests Rock Zaria Over Attack on Kaduna

The recent killing of innocent Nigerians in Kaduna state has continued to generate reactions as residents of Zaria are currently protesting the Nigerian Army’s bombing of the Tudun Biri community in the Igabi local government area.
The protesters carried placards with inscriptions such as Justice for Arewa and Justice for Igabi and marched through the town to air their grievances against the tragic incident.
They also called for improved security in the northern part of the country.
Lt. General Taoreed Lagbaja, the Chief of Army Staff, who visited Tudun Biri Community in Igabi Local Government Area, Kaduna State, where an army drone killed scores of people, told journalists on Tuesday that the Army’s drone detected the movement of individuals suspected to be bandits during this operation.
The Chief of Army Staff affirmed the Army’s readiness to support the victims of the incident and cover their medical expenses.
Similarly, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu had also ordered a thorough investigation into the incident.
The state governor, Uba Sani, had also ordered an immediate investigation into the incident.
