Nasarawa CP Presents Cheques To Families of Deceased Officers

Nasarawa State Commissioner of Police, CP Umar Nadada has presented cheques worth Forty-One point Five Million Naira to Families of deceased Police officers and those who sustained injury in the discharge of duty.

The Commissioner of Police presented the cheques on behalf of the Inspector–General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun in Lafia.

A statement by the state police command public relations officer, Deputy Superintendent of Police DSP Ramhan Nansel says the gesture is an initiative of the Inspector-General of Police family welfare insurance and Group life Assurance.

He notes that it is aimed at improving the living conditions of families of those who lost their lives in the line of duty and personnel who sustained injury.

He appreciates the Inspector-General of Police for his support to families of the officers and ensuring better welfare of his personnel.

The Commissioner of Police urges the beneficiaries to use the money judiciously to train the children and invest in profitable ventures.
