Minister Onyejeocha Promises to Resolve Lingering Crisis in NURTW

The Minister of State for Labour and Employment, Nkeiruka Onyejeochaha, has assured that the ministry will do everything possible to return peace to the conflict-ridden National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW).
Mrs Onyejeochaha, stated this in Abuja at a meeting with the delegation of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW).
The minister who maintained that no development can take place in an atmosphere of rancour, urged the union leaders to promote industrial harmony and engage with relevant stakeholders for efficient service delivery.
Onyejeocha told the transport workers that “The president wants peace for the country. He said that he is the driver while we the ministers and appointees of this government are the conductors for the whole Nigeria irrespective of ethnicity, religion or any belief. So I am the conductor and my duty is to make sure that everybody is in the right place” .
She promised to encourage productive partnership with the union in line with the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Tinubu.
The Acting President of the Union, Comrade Isaa Ore also promised to support the agenda of the federal government and promote social stability for workers.
Comrade Ore solicited the support of state governments to enable their workers carryout their activities without intimidation.
