ZD FRCN Admonished Reporters to be Professional in the Discharge of Their Duties

The Zonal Director North Central of Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria FRCN Mallam Haruna Idris has called on reporters to be professional in the coverage and treatment of News items focused on uplifting the people and uniting the Nation.

Mallam Haruna Idris made the call at the opening of the 12th Management meeting of Radio Nigeria North Central Zone in Lafia the Nasarawa State capital.

Mallam Haruna Idris stated that the call became imperative arising from the new ideas the Director General is unfolding especially the reach-out approach initiative aimed at bringing Radio Nigeria closer to the people.

He urged staff of the corporation to be committed to the ethics of journalism principles of truthfulness and accuracy and avoid reportage that will infringe on the rights and sensibilities of Nigerians.

Mallam Haruna Idris lauded the Director General of FRCN for his visionary disposition towards improving the fortunes of the corporation.

While calling on the various heads of units to enforce discipline and mentorship at all times, the Zonal Director, however, charged staff of the corporation in the zone to be accommodative of one another.

Management staff and General Managers of the five FM stations under the zone are attending the three day meeting.
