Reps Urge JAMB to Extend UTME Registration by Two Weeks
The House of Representatives has urged the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board, JAMB, to extend its deadline for 2024 UTME registration by two weeks.
This was sequel to a motion of urgent public importance moved by a member from Zamfara State, Mr. Bello Shinkafi.
According to Mr. Shinkafi, many students who were willing to participate in the 2024 UTME examination could not register due to network challenges.
The House resolved that the 2 weeks extension for registration would provide an opportunity for those who could not register to do so.
Adopting the motion, the House mandated its Committee on Examination Board to ensure strict compliance with the resolution of the House.
The motion was referred to the House Committee on Examination Board for further legislative input.
