Officers Of NSCDC Kogi Command Have Been Charged to be professional in Discharge of Their Duties
One hundred and thirty-two officers and men of the Kogi State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps of the 2022 intake have been charged to be professional and courageous in the discharge of their duties.
State Commandant Of the Corps, Paul Igwebuike gave the charge at the passing out parade of the officers in Lokoja.
Commandant Igwebuike said the graduands must also be courageous in the face of the security challenges bedevilling the nation which he stressed was being tackled headlong by security agencies.
Ha said the passing out also coincide with the International Civil Defence Day celebrated globally on ways to put civil protection measures in place against disaster and emergencies.
The State Commandant restated the commitment of the Corps in partnership with other Sister Agencies to stamp out crimes and criminality from the State.
In a message, Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo reassured the officers of government’s commitment to Security Agencies in the provision of the needed logistics to perform their constitutional duties.
Represented by the State Security Adviser, Commander Jerry Omodara rtd, the Governor said provision had been made for special motorcycles through the trust funds for patrol in the hinterland of the state.
He government has been able to curtail the activities of kidnappers which recently invaded some parts of the State and restored normalcy to the areas affected by making the roads safer for travelers.
