Former Zonal Director North Central FRCN Laid to Rest in Jos Plateau State Capital

The body of the Former Zonal Director, North Central, Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria, FRCN, Late Sylvanus Namang has been laid to rest at his residence in Jos, the Plateau state Capital.

The funeral service which held at COCIN Church Gigiring brought together, people from different walks of life to pay their last respect to the deceased

It was a solemn moment for the family, friends and colleagues of the late former zonal Director of Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria, Sylvanus Namang as his remains were conveyed into the church by the boys brigade.

The funeral service provided an opportunity for many to call for unity among people of Plateau State amidst rising insecurity that has led to loss of lives, including that of the former Zonal Director.

The Director General Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria, Doctor Muhammed Bulama represented by the Assistant Director News, North Central, Shimataver Aondoakaa described late Namang as a media professional and an administrator who contributed significantly to the growth of FRCN.

In a sermon Rev Williams Istifanus who described death as inevitable, cautioned people against living reckless life, noting that they will someday stand before the creator to face judgment.

He therefore admonished believers of Christ to strive towards living according to God’s standards and exhibit decency in their endeavours and most importantly,fear God and love one another.

Plateau state Governor Caleb Mutfwang who expressed sadness over the death of Late Namang, appealed to people not to politicise the killing of the former FRCN Zonal Director who was also the state APC publicity secretary.

Immediate past Governor of Plateau state, Senator Simon Lalong who urged the immediate family of the deceased to take solace in God described the late APC publicity secretary as a professional who had the interest of the state and the people at heart

Wife of the deceased, Micah recounted the journey with her late husband, describing him as a loving and courageous man who carried out all his responsibilities fearlessly and with dedication.
