Plateau State House of Assembly Swears In New Nine Members

Nine New members of the plateau state house of Assembly have been sworn in by the Speaker Mister Gabriel Dewam.
This brings the number of the legislators to seventeen.
At plenary today, a new Deputy Speaker Isah Ajiji Madaki representing Jos east State constituency also emerged.
following the judgement of the Court of appeal which removed winners on the platform of the PDP on the ground that the party lacked structure, only eight members remained in the state house of assembly leaving sixteen seats vacant.
With the addition of the Nine,the state Assembly now boasts of seventeen members.
Responding to the question of why only Nine out of sixteen members were sworn in, the speaker Mister Gabriel Dewam explained that those inaugurated had completed their documentation.
He stated that the remaining seven members will be sworn in soon as they complete the required processes.
Mister Dewam maintained that as the speaker he holds no interest on who is sworn in or not, but is only focused on his constitutional duties as they all represents different constituencies
Those sworn in are Daniel Nanbolistick, representing Langtang Central Constituency, Bendel Nancwat, Langtang South, Abdul Yanga, Mangu North-East, Denty Laven, Pankshin South, Eli Bako Ankala, Rukuba/Irrigwe, Dickson Chollom, Barkin Ladi, Wallangko Ibrahim, Bokkos and Kwarpo Matthew Sylvanus , Mangu South.
