Kwara Confirms Receipt of New grains From FG, Distribution Commence Soon

The Kwara State Government says it has received 12,058 bags of grains of maize, millet, and sorghum from the Federal Government.
This was confirmed in a statement by Commissioner for Communications, Mrs Bola Olukoju. According to the Commissioner, out of the 12,058 grains, the State received 7,042 of 50kg bags of maize; 2,916 of 50kg bags of millet; and 2,100 of 50kg bags of sorghum (which are still being received as of today).
The State Government also announced the receipt of 8,700 of 25kg bags of rice. The statement says the distribution of the grains will commence in the State very soon with the flag-off by Minister of Agriculture and Food Security, Senator Abubakar Kyari, by the template sent by the Federal Government.
The State Government reassured residents of its continuous support to enable them to cope with the inconveniences that trailed the removal of fuel subsidy.
