DSS Celebrates Eid El-Kabir; Cautions Celebrants to be Vigilant

The Department of state services, (DSS) says it will maintain close Collaboration with relevant Security Agencies and Critical stakeholders to ensure smooth and a hitch free Eid – Al-Adah Celebrations across the Country.

A Statement by the Director Public Relations and strategic Communications of the DSS, Dr. Peter Afunanya expressed the greetings of the Director – General, Management and staff of the service to the Muslim Ummah on the Occasion of Eid- Al – Adha.

The statement further noted that while the event is significant for the opportunity it offers for prayers and Celebrations, it remind Nigerians of the importance of faith, Obedience and generosity.

Accordingly the service also enjoined on all citizens to emulate these Characteristics as bases for National Transformation and Unity , to this end, everyone is urged to show Love, not only to their neighbours, but the Country at Large.

The service DSS, equally strongly advised that while engaging in religious and social activities during the period, celebrants should be cautious and Observe all necessary personal Security procedures.

The service similarly called on Operators and patrons of Malls, Fun places, markets parks and railway stations among other are to be vigilant and ensure strick Compliance to physical and other security Measures required for public safety, and should promptly report suspicious Movements or breaches to appropriate law enforcement authorities.
