One thousand Farmers in Keana Received President Bola Tinubu’s NPK and UREA Fertilizer

In a bid to ensure food security in the country, Nasarawa State Government has distributed one thousand bags of NPK and UREA fertilizer to one thousand farmers across ten electoral wards in Keana local government area of Nasarawa State.
Commissioner for Special Duties on Humanitarian, Social Services and NGOs, Princess Margaret Itake Elayo said the Fertilizer was given to States by President Bola Tinubu as part of the government’s commitment towards boosting food production across the country.
Princess Margaret Elayo explained that the free NPK and UREA fertilizer were provided to thirty six state governors across the country with Governor Abdullahi Sule paying for the cost of transporting the fertilizer assigned to the state.
She called on the beneficiaries to take advantage of the federal government’s gesture to witness a bumper harvest and enhance food security in the state.
The Humanitarian Commissioner who said the distribution is monitored by Traditional, Religious, Political Leaders and Security agencies, warned that any communities found wanting to sell the products would not benefit in the future.
Princess Margaret Elayo added that her office would ensure that the fertilizer reaches the farmers who needed it the most to increase food production in the state.
Some beneficiaries who spoke to Radio Nigeria Precious FM, Mr Mailafiya Auta, Umar Giza, Mrs Hassana Zakari and Joyce Moses commended the federal and state governments for timely provision of assorted fertilizer to guarantee food security in the state.
The one thousand beneficiaries of NPK and UREA fertilizer were drawn from the ten electoral wards in Keana including Kadarko, Galadima, Kwara, Madaki, and Ameri among five others.
