Security Agencies Uncover Lawmaker Sponsoring Protests – Wike

Nyesom Wike, Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), says on Thursday that security forces had identified a Senator who reportedly funded protests in the nation’s capital.

He stated this during a news briefing following a security council meeting in Abuja.

The Minister did not reveal the senator’s identity, but said the lawmaker provided food to the protesters.

At the appropriate time, security agencies will invite the senator and find out how you will be sponsoring this kind of thing against the government of the day.” The Minister noted.

Wike urged protesters to obey the court order to conduct their protest within the MKO Abiola Stadium.

Wike maintained that President Bola Tinubu’s administration was taking measures to improve the standard of living.

More states declare state of emercengy

About 10 states, and the FCT, recorded looting and vandalsim of both pubic and private proterty, especially in norther nigeria.

4 states declared full and partial curfews to control the violence that folllowed the #endbadgovernance protest.

In Kano, the Nigeria Communications Commission’s office was looted and set ablaze. The newly constructed office was scheduled for inauguration next week.
