FRCN NCZ 13th COM Meeting, Jos: Importance of Prioritizing Mental Health Stressed

The importance of attaching priority to the mental wellbeing of staff of Radio Nigeria for effective and efficient productivity has been stressed by the Zonal Director, North Central of the
Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria, FRCN Malam Haruna Idris.
Malam Idris stressed this this while interacting with staff of Radio Nigeria Highland FM in Jos, the Plateau state capital.
The Zonal Director who is in Jos with his management team for the periodic meeting of the management committee of the zone, took time to interact with the workers on improving service delivery as well as their welfare.
Mallam Idirs after listening to narrations by staff on their experiences in the course of discharging their responsibilities which often leaves them traumatized, promised to take up the issue of mental health of staff to the central management of the corporation.
He commended the management and staff of Radio Nigeria Highland FM for their hard work and urged them to not only sustain it but ensure strict adherence to the ethics of the profession.
While also stressing the need for discipline among staff for the survival of the corporation, the Zonal Director appealed to staff to give in their best despite the current hardship
On working tools, he expressed the zone’s readiness to partner staff towards acquiring the needed gadgets
Earlier, General Manager of Highland FM Jos, Patience Jatau who is the host of the Management committee meeting, appreciated the contribution of the zone at ensuring the success of the station.
While attributing the successes recorded to the cooperation of the staff, the General Manager expressed hope that broadcasting hours would be improved and sustained to enable the station compete favourably with others considering it’s quality programmes.
