Retirees Enrolled in Plateau Contributory Health Insurance Scheme

Retirees across the 17 Local Government Areas of Plateau State are being enrolled freely into the Plateau State Contributory Healthcare Management Agency, PLASCHEMA, for easy access to adequate healthcare services.
The Director General of PLASCHEMA, Dr Agabus Manasseh at the flag off of the enrollment exercise under Jos north LGA, noted that the free enrollment exercise for the retirees was attainable due to the paid baglog of counterpart funds by the state government.
Dr Manassah said the earmarked one percent consolidated revenue fund by the federal government to all states would be channeled to address some challenges faced by the poor and vulnerable in the state.
The PLASCHEMA Chief Executive however adviced all retirees in the state to take advantage of the exercise and avail themselves at their respective wards as it would be on first come first serve basis.
Some retirees at the event lauded PLASCHEMA for the initiative aimed at meeting their health needs with less financial burden and appealed that the scheme be sustained.
They called on all their members to ensure they utilize such rare opportunities and access the health facility they are assigned to.
