US Tasks Nigerian Journalists to Promote Peaceful Coexistence Through their Work

The Public Diplomacy officer of the United States Embassy in Nigeria Mr. Brian Neubert has appealed to journalists to use their professional calling in promoting peace in Nigeria.
He made the call at the closing ceremony of the two day training for radio journalists organised by a Non Governmental organisation Dhul jalalu Charitable foundation and sponsored by the US Embassy in Abuja.
The training focused on radio reporting, storey telling, fact checking, presentation and the use of AI for radio.
Mr Neubert emphasized the important role of journalists in the society, said the US Embassy would ensure freedom to practice journalism profession without fair of oppression at all times.
The lead facilitator Hajiya Binta Abubakar Mora who took participants through story telling for radio urged them to always use simple grammar while writing for radio.
A media specialist with the US Embassy Mr. Joseph Adah spoke on the use of AI and digital tools for online audience engagements, urged them to take advantage of social media space to influence the society.
Some of the participants expressed gratitude to Dhul jalalu charitable foundation and the US Embassy for funding the training.
