TUC Urges State Governments to Expedite Action on New National Minimum Wage

The Trade Union Congress of Nigeria (TUC) has called on the State governments to work out the consequential adjustment on new National Minimum Wage without further delay, to enable workers in states to enjoy their monies.

President of TUC, Comrade Festus Osifo stated this at a news conference in Abuja on Thursday.

Comrade Osifo explained that the delay in the consequential adjustment was affecting the economic power of Nigerian workers in the various states.

TUC President also called on the Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority (NMDPRA), to give licences to marketers to enable Nigerians have access to the product.

Comrade Osifo said the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited NNPCL should source refined petrol from other places if the Dangote Refinery cannot meet the daily demands of Nigerians.
