Ministry of Special Duties on Humanitarian Services Defends Budget

Nasarawa State Ministry of Special Duties on Humanitarian Services and NGO’s says it will continue to build stronger collaborations with the State House of Assembly towards serving the people of the state better.
Commissioner in charge of the Ministry, Princess Margaret Elayo gave the assurance when she appeared along side management staff of the Ministry before the House Standing Committee on Women Affairs to defend the Ministry’s budget in Lafia the Nasarawa State Capital.
Princess Margaret Elayo explained that her Ministry have been able to conclude ninety three percent of its services to people of the state to include distribution of palliative to the vulnerable, fertilisers to farmers and relief materials to victims of flood and fire disasters .
Responding, Chairman House Committee on Women Affairs, Hajiya Hajara Danyaro, charged the Ministry to scale up its activities towards complementing efforts of the state government by providing succour to the citizenry.
Hajiya Hajara said the house will continue to support MDA’s across the state to avail people of the state best dividend of democracy.
Some members of the committee, Mr Aliyu Yusuf Chundaya, Peter Akwe, Mohammed Adamu Omadefu and Musa Saidu, implored government MDA’s to achieve the policy drive of the current administration in the state.
