250 Women, Elderly Benefits from Free Medical Outreach in Benue State

Two hundred and fifty women and the Elderly in Benue State have benefited from the free medical outreach under the Renewed Hope Initiative of the Wife of the President, Senator Oluremi Tinubu.

The exercise which took place at Government House, Makurdi,
with the theme “Total Wellness, Happy, Healthy and Prosperous Lifestyle”, featured free eye and malaria test with the issuance of medicines and glasses.


The wife of the President who was
represented by the Special Adviser to the Governor on Women Affairs, Mrs Scholastica Bensor, said the programme was designed to support the welfare of women and elderly citizens of sixty five years and above in all the thirty six States of the federation and the FCT.

Senator Tinubu who also made a cash donation to the beneficiaries urged them to prioritize their health by eating well and staying hydrated.

Governor Hyacinth Alia represented by his Senior Special Assistant on Public Relations, Mrs Mary Yisa appreciated Senator Tinubu for taking the intervention programme to the vulnerable people in the state.

Two beneficiaries, Cecilia Tivlumun and Patience Serube thanked the president’s wife for the gesture.
