FRCN Commissions New FM Station in Gashua, Yobe State

The Director General Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria Dr. Mohammed Bulama has Commissioned a new FM Station in Gashua, Yobe State.
Declaring the occasion opened, Dr. Bulama said the station which is the 7th in the Northeast and the 2nd in Yobe State would be of great benefit to the government and people of the state.
Dr Bulama explained that another contract has been issued for the construction of another FM Station in Gwoza, Borno State for a better Service delivery to the people of the region.
He said FRCN under his watch would ensure expansion of services in the country, as Radio is the only medium with the highest number of listenership.

While paying tribute to the former president of the Senate who facilitated the construction of Wetland FM Gashua, the FRCN Director General commended the contractors for the quality of the equipment installed in the Station
In an interview with Radio Nigeria after inaugurating the station, Sen. Ahmed Ibrahim Lawan expressed his appreciation to the Management of FRCN who came in large numbers to commission the station.
The Lawmaker explained that provisions are on the way to build a Transit Camp for workers and the station would be fully equipped solar powered electricity for effected services delivery.
Senator Lawan appealed to the Management of FRCN to ensure that Radio Nigeria Wetland FM reaches every part of the state.

He called on the people of the state to prioritize the station and give all the necessary assistance needed to move the State forward
The occasion which took place at the premises of the station, was attended by all the Directors and General Manager of Radio Nigeria in the Northeastern part of the country, Politicians, Traditional and Religious Leaders and Members of the Press.
