PDP in Nasarawa State Constitutes Committee to Reconcile Member

In a bid to strengthen the main opposition party, the People’s Democratic party PDP in Nasarawa state has constituted a Reconciliation committee to resolve all grievances among members.
The setting up of the Reconciliation committee followed unanimous decision reached between stakeholders and the State Working committee of the party during a meeting in lafia..
The committee has responsibility to reach out to aggrieved members who have refused to accept the outcome of the party Congresses held last year at the Ward ,Local government and state levels which is under contest in court.
Chairman of PDP in the state,Adamu Bako Ninga believes with the caliber of personalities in the committee, there is hope the aggrieved members would agree for out of court settlement.
According to Adamu Ninga ,the issue is an internal challenge between and among family members which will be resolved in no distant time ..and afterwards the party will return to its formidable form to be the party to beat in future elections in the state..
Chairman of the Reconciliation committee Retired Brigadier general Philip Umar Hashimu expressed hope that they would succeed in the assignment.
He noted that the committee would liaise with elders of the party to meet the affected members to resolve the issue amicably.
Some aggrieved members of the People’s Democratic party PDP in Nasarawa state are challenging the legality of the current leadership of the party from the Ward,local government and state levels in court.
