Nasarawa State Governor, Abdullahi Sule has enjoined Muslim faithful to take advantage of the Ramadan lecture to deepen their faith and relationship with God to inherit his eternal rewards and Blessings.

Governor Abdullahi Sule Made the Call at the Maiden joint Annual Ramadan lecture in Lafia, the Nasarawa State Capital.

The Maiden joint Ramadan lecture with the theme; “The Virtue of Ramadan: the gift to humanity” was organized by the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria, FRCN North Central Zonal Office, Nigerian Television Authority, NTA and the Nasarawa Broadcasting Service, NBS lafia was to enlightened Muslim faithful on what is expected of them during the holy month of Ramadan.

Governor Abdullahi Sule who read some verses from the holy Quran emphasized the need for charity and alms giving to the needy expecially during the month of Ramadan described the month as a sacred one that has abundant blessings.

Guest lecturer at the event, and a Professor with the Department of Islamic studies, Federal University of Lafia, Tanko Aliyu Baitullah who spoke extensively on the benefits that are inherent in the month of Ramadan called on the faithful to redouble their acts of supplications during the month to attract God’s rewards.

Chairman of the Occasion and the state Deputy Governor Emmanuel Akabe who described this years Ramadan fast as a Special one that coincided with the Christians Lenten season noted that the two major religions have similarities in many ways calling on their adherents to embrace one another to promote Peace Unity and national Cohesion.

Earlier, Executive Vice Chairman, Nasarawa Broadcasting Service, NBS Lafia, Mallam Auwalu Salihu appreciated governor Abdullahi Sule and other key Stakeholders who contributed immensely to the success of the Annual Ramadan lecture.

The Maiden Annual Ramadan lecture brought together Muslim faithful from all parts of the State and other Stakeholders including the Zonal Director, Federal Radio Corporationof Nigeria ,North Central Zone Mallam Haruna Idris.
